Eisai is delighted to announce its new collaboration with FutureNeuro, a research centre for chronic and rare neurological diseases based in Dublin.
The collaboration will focus on helping FutureNeuro to obtain a better understanding of the complex landscape that exists for patients with neurological conditions including epilepsy. The collaboration will be led by Professor Mark Cunningham, the Ellen Mayston Bates Professor of Neurophysiology of Epilepsy at Trinity College Dublin. Professor Cunningham is an internationally recognised expert in electrophysiology which is the study of the electrical properties of brain cells and tissues.
At Eisai, everything we do is dedicated to giving first thought to patients and their families through our human health care (hhc) philosophy. Similarly, FutureNeuro’s mission includes a focus on patient-centred care so collaborations such as this with like-minded organisations such as FutureNeuro help us fulfil our hhc ethos. Eisai’s collective passion and dedication to patient care is the driving force behind our efforts to discover and develop innovative medicines in therapeutic areas with a high unmet medical need, including epilepsy.
