Neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease have significant unmet clinical needs. A new drug-discovery research partnership has recently been established between Eisai’s neurology researchers based in Tsukuba (Japan) and the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) which will combine the deep knowledge and technical capabilities of both partners to accelerate the development of new treatments for these diseases.

Eisai’s research and development activities are carried out in various locations across the world, including at the EMEA Knowledge Centre in Hatfield.

DZNE is a world-leading public research organisation with ten research sites in Germany that investigate methods for prevention, diagnosis and treatment against neurodegenerative diseases.
